From my first memories I have been driven with the need to build; with wood, stones, fabric, paints and food. I was fortunate to be raised on a Montana farmstead where I had the freedom to explore to my heart’s content. I made my own clothes, invented recipes, built furniture and play houses, dammed creeks and built elaborate towns in the sandbox.. Growing older I've discovered the delight in teaching and inspiring others to make connections. Although I still dabble in the fiber arts my heart is in the design and creation of jewelry. There is no greater joy than in the competition of a well balanced pendant or necklace or an easy to follow pattern. It is my hope that the joy I find in creating is shared by the person to whom the piece finds a home. Souther
