Souther, architect AIA, LEED AP, jewelry artist and teacher, takes her inspiration from Montana’s rich and varied terrain. Out on a Bead is the repository for her creations. They include fused glass buttons (a ten step process) necklace and Christmas ornament patterns and kits, an array of jewelry ranging from hair pins to elegant necklaces (none of them alike), and even a game Button, Button, Who’s Got the Button. When she’s not working she plays with her dogs, she visits friends, she cooks, relaxes with her husband, Mark, she reads—she’s even been known to dance on table tops.
This sketch of Souther was dashed out by Henry E. Sorenson, Jr, on 25 March, 2011 at Meeting in the Mountains, Red Lodge, MT.
